The Glass Studio- a Community Resource
Posted on July 05, 2015
We are a community making art out of glass in a familiar place. We specialize in kiln formed glass art making or “warm” glass. The heat from the kiln makes the magic happen, fusing layers of colors together into beautiful sculptural forms.
Our two programs, for teenagers and adults, provide hands-on art making in the Silver Spring/Takoma Park Maryland area. Under new owner, Jon Lickerman, the studio’s commitment to making glass art will continue. In 2010 he brought his love for glass art to teenagers and has since run a successful after school program. Jon is excited about taking this next step as a new studio owner.
Your support will help us ensure a strong and thriving arts studio in Silver Spring.
