Silent Restaurant

28 year old Yu Pan was born deaf and her husband lost hearing in childhood. The couple works in a hotpot restaurant in Harbin, China. In the restaurant, there are 23 deaf people (near 50% of the total employees) working in various positions except cashier and parking usher. Using notepad and sign language, these employees are able to communicate with customers, who can "talk" to Yu Pan and her fellows with little specially designed paper fans. [Xinhua Agency]
