Principal Sticks to His Promise

Colorado Elementary School students Gracie Reimers and Rhys Boynton add their strips of duct tape to help stick principal Ryan Castle to the gymnasium wall Friday morning. Castle challenged the student to sell 10,000 tickets for the school’s annual fall festival, which was held Oct. 10, and promised students they could tape him to the wall, where he would hang through lunch.

The students came through and sold 11,000 tickets. The students who sold the most — there were 27 — could bring their own colorful duct tape or use the standard gray. As if ducting taping a principal to the wall wasn’t fun enough, the Colorado Elementary School student council also declared it mustache day, and Castle donned a big fake mustache.[muscatinejournal.com]
