People's Armada - Fund a Rescue Boat

It's time to take matters into our own hands.

Over 2,500 refugees have died crossing the Mediterranean this year. Our leaders have been too slow to act - it's time for us to step up.Our initial target is $3,000,000 which is enough to buy and refit one rescue boat for the Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS) which is a specialist rescue organisation operating in the Mediterranean in partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). MOAS has rescued 11,000 people in the last year alone. We can raise this money and much more and dispatch a #PeoplesArmada to help before it's too late.

Why 10 days?

European leaders are meeting on September 14th for an emergency meeting on how to respond. We can't wait this long. In the 10 days it takes our leaders to book their flights to Brussels, let's crowdfund for an entire search and rescue mission.

For more information about this crowdfunding campaign, please visit Indiegogo, the website, Facebook and Twitter of MOAS.

MOAS was founded by Christopher Catrambone (American) and Regina Catrambone (Italian). The following video shows how the Catrambones are saving the lives of thousands of migrants.
