Paradise Of The Pacific | Garrett Martin

Hawaii is one of the most diverse and unique places in not only America but also the whole world. The landscapes across the islands change drastically from pristine beaches to molten lava rock to lush rainforests. This is truly one of the most breathtaking places a person can visit and it is a must for anyone's bucket list.

I created this film to try to capture the changing landscapes across Hawaii and show that this destination is more than just amazing beaches and sunsets. I used time-lapse photography and some aerial footage from places all across the two islands (Maui and Big Island) I visited to try to capture the landscapes and show how much they differ not just from island to island, but on the islands themselves. What you see in the film barely scratches the surface of these beautiful islands and all the unique natural wonders that each island contains. I strongly urge you to visit these amazing islands for yourself and I hope that this film inspires you to do so.

This film is the start of many more travel films that will be released throughout 2016. I plan on focusing a lot more on filmmaking and improving my work over my next films.

Garrett Martin is a landscape/nature filmmaker and time-lapse photographer from Harrisonburg, Virginia. [Vimeo, website, Flickr and Instagram]
