Oakland Superheroes Mural Project

Join the Oakland art movement—support Oakland Superheroes Mural #3, a community-driven project.

The Oakland Superheroes Mural Project (OSH) brings together local youth and professional artists to create powerful public art in a rapidly changing Oakland. It’s the city’s first large-scale mural project, and creates dialogue about community issues while giving voice to young residents. OSH benefits approximately 300 students and 60 artists and is led by AHC, a 25 year-old grassroots nonprofit. Mural #3 is the third out of six murals in West Oakland and will help transform the neighborhood in the next couple of months.

With your help, the Oakland Superheroes Mural Project will: 1. Create a large-scale public art piece in West Oakland. 2. Employ 1 lead artist and 10 supporting muralists. 3. Allow local youth to be civically engaged, discover their voices, and envision a bright future, inspiring future generations to do the same. 4. Beautify the community. 5. Stimulate the local economy. 6. Offset blight.
