Magical Starry Skies

Lumi Toma is a photographer living and working in Aosta Valley, Italy. Born in Romania, Lumi holds a PhD in chemistry at University of Valencia, Spain. Nature has always been an important element in Lumi’s life, bringing excitement, beauty, inspiration and inner peace. This is why, after fifteen years of work as university researcher, she embarked on a new adventure that will take her from the mysterious nanoscopic world of a chemistry laboratory to the macroscopic beauty of surrounding nature she documents through her photography and storytelling.

In the new series “Magical Starry Skies”, Lumi and her partner Kamil Tamiola captured their journey into the mystifying world of the starry skies and the frozen glaciers of the majestic Italian, and French Alps.

For information about this and other projects, please visit Lumi’s website and Kamil Tamiola’s website.
