Lilith and Olaf, the World’s Largest Outdoor Mural

Nuart Festival, Block Berge Bygg and French artists Ella & Pitr have completed the world's largest outdoor mural in Klepp, Norway in just four days! The mural is the first project to mark the 15th Anniversary of Stavanger’s Nuart Festival and will be officially 'opened' on Friday 4 September at 16:00.

Backed by an army of volunteers, the French artists Ella & Pitr have worked at lightning-quick pace to cover the vast majority of Block Berge Bygg’s 21,000m2 roof on the outskirts of Stavanger and created a beautiful new addition to the Rogaland landscape.

Lilith and Olaf depicts a woman curled up on the rooftop with a small figure falling from her fingers. The figure is King Olaf I of Norway, who ruled the country from 995-1000. Various sources cite his birthplace as an islet in Frøylandsvatnet, a lake just metres from Block Berge Bygg’s building.
