Hong Kong Markets: a Poster Series Celebrates Local Culture

Products inspired by travel: Poster designs celebrate Hong Kong's local markets. Bring a glimpse of this amazing city home with you!

As a designer who is passionate about travel, I have been exploring ways to share these experiences.  I'd like to celebrate one of the things I enjoy most about Hong Kong with you: the local markets.

I love living in Hong Kong, the global city I now call home, especially to explore the local markets which are scattered throughout this international city. Each neighborhood has its own marketplace, often with its own local flavor or charm, and even specialty. Millions of tourists visit every year. Can you imagine the market stalls and street vendors that carry fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, live seafood, daily necessities, and much, much more? However, these local communities are an old lifestyle, disappearing to make room for skyscrapers, high-rises, or more profitable land use. Inspired by the unique market culture and tradition, these posters are a simple way to present, celebrate, and pay tribute to the hustling and bustling markets of Hong Kong.
