Diana Vishneva: Pivotal Pointe

Award-winning filmmaker Buddy Squires captures an intimate, unprecedented view of prima ballerina Diana Vishneva's remarkable journey. When asked to name the world's best prima ballerinas, dance expert, critic and fan alike would include Diana Vishneva at the top of an extremely short list. In a career spanning over 20 years,Vishneva has put her own artistic autograph on all of the great classical roles. From Juliet to Giselle, and Aurora to Manon, she has mesmerized audiences around the world with her brilliant technique and dramatic spell.

In 2004, Vishneva was introduced to American audiences at the Metropolitan Opera House, joining American Ballet Theater as a principal artist. Here in New York City, her partnership with Brazilian ballet star, Marcelo Gomes, was launched and has continued to flourish for the past 10 years.
