Amanda Tromp and Husky Kyro

Sometimes, the prince in a real-life fairy tale turns out to be furry and four-legged. And when you kiss a frog but it doesn't work out, a wolf might be more of what you need.

For photographer Amanda Tromp, her knight in shining armor turned out to be a Siberian Husky puppy with bright blue eyes and a love of the outdoors.

Tromp had been dating a man for around four months when she responded to a Craigslist ad about a litter of husky puppies whose young mother was having trouble caring for them. The mother wouldn't feed them, so Tromp offered to help bottle-feed the puppies and find them homes. She brought home the largest from the litter and named him Kyro.
